Delaware Completes the Wild Night in the CAA
I meant to include this late last night but being up since 5:30 am yesterday with my youngest son caught up with me around 10:30 last night. Delaware completed a wild night in the CAA knocking off Drexel in overtime 73-70. Delaware could have won in regulation, but the Bluehens blew a five point lead with 1:37 left. Delaware's Jawan Carter hit a three with 42 seconds left to break a tie at 67 and the Dragons never got closer. The loss broke an seven game CAA winning streak for Drexel. Earlier in the evening, first place Northeastern lost at last place William and Mary, then second place VCU lost at next to last place UNC Wilmington. The Blue Hens moved up from tenth to a tie for eighth place with Georgia State. So, you had #12 beat #1, #11 beat #2 and #10 beat #4. That's pretty impressive. Only #6 James Madison survived the upset party, knocking off underwhelming Georgia State 82-69. The CAA tournament just got a whole lot more interesting after last night's festivities.
