Well Kansas Won, But It Wasn't By 20, Wilt's Ghost

After I got home from the Hofstra game, I was able to see the entire second half of Kansas-Cornell at Allen Fieldhouse, a great place to watch a game, on ESPN 360. The Big Red, who as I have said before are for real, quite possibly played the best game any team has against the #1 Jayhawks so far this season. Cornell led most of the way until four minutes remaining when Tyrel Reed hit a three to put Kansas up 61-60. Cornell would go back up 64-63 with a Jeff Foote layup with 50 seconds left.

But Sherron Collins three point play put the Jayhawks up to stay 66-64 as Kansas comes back to win 71-66. Collins had a career high 33 points while Ryan Wittman led the way for the Big Red with 24 points.

The Wilt's Ghost reference is to the Kansas fan who left a couple of comments from my post from this morning about Kansas-Cornell. Wilt, I told you it would be interesting. And again, loved ya in Conan the Destroyer.

More on another wacky night in the CAA tomorrow morning.
