Quick Thoughts on Horizon, Big South, Ohio Valley

Boring as they may be, my picks for the three conference tournaments are the following.

1) Horizon - Butler to win at home over Wright State in the championship in a low scoring squeaker in the fifties. The Bulldogs haven't lost all year in the Horizon, the tournament semis are on their home court at Hinkle and if they win their semifinal, they play at Hinkle again. Much as I love Brad Brownell, home court, Hayward and Howard are too much for the Raiders to overcome.

2) Big South - Radford over Coastal Carolina. The fun thing about the Big South is that the games are all at campus sites of the higher seed remaining in each round. That rewards regular season play. Love it. However, Coastal Carolina lost at home to Radford this season (while winning at Radford). I love the Highlanders frontcourt, especially Artsiom Parakhouski. Besides, when winning a tournament, there can only be one, so it has to be a Highlander, right?

3) Ohio Valley - Love Murray State, so I think they will sail into the conference final against...AUSTIN PEAY! The rivalry must continue. Somehow the Governors will knock off Morehead State and give us another conference final pitting the Racers vs. the Governors. And Murray State will prevail.
